"How do you inspire and encourage your students to live out the Mesquite Promise in their daily lives?”
Principal Michael Pierotti: I inspire and encourage my students to live out the Mesquite Promise each day by intentionally connecting our classroom culture to Gentry’s vision of PRIDE, LOVE, and Success. Through our House system, students develop PRIDE by belonging to something bigger than themselves, learning that their daily actions—whether showing respect, working with integrity, or demonstrating determination—bring honor not only to themselves but also to their House community. We celebrate individual and group achievements regularly, which reinforces the value of consistent effort and excellence.
I cultivate LOVE by modeling and teaching students to value themselves and one another. This includes affirming their strengths, encouraging positive peer interactions, and reminding them that respecting differences makes our school stronger.
